Course description: Urchin Software training workshops
for on-site delivery
ivantage provides two distinct training courses on Urchin Software.
There is a shorter User Training Workshop for everyday
users of the product who need to know about the reports that Urchin can
produce and how to use them. The second course is the Configuration Workshop
designed for Urchin administrators and similar.
(1) User Training Workshop
ivantage’s User Training Workshop for Urchin Software from
Google is a 3½ hour practical, hands-on course, delivered at
your site, aimed specifically at people performing marketing and
editorial roles such as online marketers, web executives,
webmasters, developers, agency account managers, account
directors and other web production roles who need to understand
both Urchin reports and how Urchin can be used to deliver
insightful information from web metrics.
Pre-requisites
User access to your active Urchin installation is required for
the duration of the course. Participating Urchin system
administrators should have attended ivantage’s Configuration
Workshop for Urchin Software from Google. Our experience
confirms trainees learn much more effectively when they each
have access to a computer throughout the session so as to use
Urchin with their normal Urchin ID.
The instructor requires a data projector, to display PowerPoint
slides from his/her laptop, and an active Internet connection.
If the instructor’s laptop cannot be connected to the client’s
Internet service, then an equivalent PC must be furnished by the
client, having PowerPoint or PowerPoint Viewer installed and the
use of a USB memory stick for transferring the PowerPoint
presentation.
Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able
to use and interact with Urchin, understand reports and
accurately analyse how visitors arrive at their websites and how
they behave and interact with their website’s content.
